About UTB
Universidad Tecnológica de Bolívar – UTB is a private, non-profit higher education institution, founded in 1970 and managed by the most important business associations in the region.
The UTB exchange program offers an excellent study abroad opportunity for international students in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia. This study abroad initiative allows students from partner universities around the world to directly enroll for one semester, up to twenty credits at UTB.
The International office provides a Buddy UTB and city tours.

Icetex scholarship
The reciprocity program for foreigners in Colombia offers scholarships to foreign citizens to carry out specialization, master’s, doctorate, or research studies at the postgraduate level. To apply to this program, candidates must have a good level of the Spanish language.
Interested students should contact ICETEX directly and complete the admission process in the UTB program they choose from the list in the academic offer of the Colombia Scholarship program.

Our Buddy Program offers academic and cultural support, provides guidance to concerns regarding your stay in the city and at the UTB facilities, we provide the students with the information that their require from Colombia and all the services that the UTB has to offer. to national and international students who decide to take short courses, exchange semesters, double degree programs, among others at our institution

This modality of academic mobility allows an undergraduate or graduate student from a foreign university to carry out their research with the accompaniment of a UTB professor or to join a research project carried out by a full-time professor from the university.
